CB750 / CB750K restorers
« on: August 12, 2013, 03:49:13 PM »
Hi all,

I'm looking for a recent(ish) restoration of a K model for a feature in Classic Bike magazine. We'd like to run the full story of the resto plus hints/tips/advice from the owners restorer - and a brief road test. If anyone fits the bill and is up for helping out with the feature, you can contact me through the forum, via email at gingersgaff@btinternet.com or on 07875 736021.

Many thanks in advance for any offers.

All the best,

Gerard Kane, Classic Bike

CB350/400 / CB400 owners, racers, mechanics, dealers...

Hi all,

I'm looking to contact a few folk who owned, rode, raced, tuned, worked on (in a dealer's) or sold Honda 400/4s back in the day for a feature in Classic Bike. I just need a few experiences of the bikes when they were new(ish) and a photo from back then if possible.

If you can help, you can contact me by a pm through the forum, by email at gingersgaff@btinternet.com or on 07875 736021 any time (except Friday 24 Feb).

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

CB500/550 / CB550 for magazine article

Hi all,

I'm looking for a nice tidy CB550 for a 550 comparison feature in Practical Sports Bikes magazine. We'd want to ride and photograph it along with a Suzuki GS550 and a Kawasaki Z550 (so if anyone knows anyone who's got one of those, I'd love to hear from them too). We'd need to have the bikes for a couple of days ideally - but one full day at least and we'd probably be able to pick up and deliver your bike if that makes things easier. We are fully insured and use professional bike couriers for pick ups and deliveries. Of course, if you fancy bringing your bike up to a photoshoot yourself, we'd love to meet you.

If you think you might be able to help, give me a ring on 07875 736021, email me at gingersgaff@btinternet.com or pm me through the forum.

Many thanks for any help you can be.

All the best,

Gerard Kane, Practical Sports Bikes

Hi all,

I'm looking for four owners who have restored 70s CB750s and wouldn't mind sharing some of their experience with our readers. F1, F2 owners especially welcome. I'd want to have a chat with you on the phone and pick your brains on working on the bikes, parts sources, techniques and dodges, what to watch for and that sort of thing. And I'd like to send our photographer to get a couple of pics of you and your bike.

If you can help, would you either pm me, send an email to gingersgaff@btinternet.com or give me a bell on 07875 736021.

Many thanks,

Gerard Kane, Practical Sports Bikes

Could you give me a ring Dave? That mobile number you gave me doesn't seem to work.

Thanks,

Gerard, Classic Bike

Hi Dave,

I've sent you a couple of pms, but I don't think you've got them - my email has been playing up. Could you give me a ring on 07875 736021 please. Or, if you pm me a number I can get you on, it might get through to me now.

Thanks,

Hi all, I'm looking for a recently restored (by the owner) CB400f to feature in an upcoming issue of Classic Bike magazine. Anywhere in the UK is of interest, but if it's in East Midlands/Yorkshire area, that would be a bonus. If anyone can help, please give me a ring on 07875 736021 or reply via the forum with a contact number or email address and I'll get straight back to you.

Thanks in advance for any help.
