I'd try a PM to Nurse Julie first - the replacements will probably be Vitron type. Failing that measure it up & try some suppliers.

My strainer was in bits so I bought the kit.

IIRC if it's the round tap seal the DS kit does not have the right size O ring so they supply two thinner ones. I ended up using the original one as it was in fair condition.The only other seal iirc is a fibre washer on the Union I think.

Julie might have something suitable - not sure.

True Ken - if I was being super critical it's a shame that the mileometer tumblers remain an age related yellow-white plastic as otherwise it would have all the appearances of being a brand new clock. I guess that would be either extremely expensive even if the tumblers were available.

In my defence Ken I gave up on that item due to an oval mounting hole so never finished it - the replacement I painted just could not be bothered to invest the time and effort needed.
You can still see the imperfections on my painted one where the paint has sunk into the casting marks - it will work just the same as a dull calliper arm.

I'll own up Ken I do not have the skills or persistence to achieve your level of finish - I tried and failed after too many hours - whilst I am in awe of your polishing skills I make do with my much lower standard of finish - horses for courses & all that.

I anoint you Ken as King of the Polishers - long may you reign.  8) 8) 8)

P.S. You have hijacked my post it was about posting photos - wish I had used another photo. :o :o :o

I did make the error of mentioning you giving honest feed back - Bazinga - an own goal.  ;D ;D ;D
