It’s the Alu I’m interested in. I’ve made contact with Nick Adams and waiting for a reply on pre prep and cost for alternator, clutch and chain case covers. What do you think?
Phil, it looks really good close to, I'm super chuffed with the motor on the 550, it came out superb. Deffo a nicer finish than paint but it always depends on the painter as you know.

Those wheels look fantastic Ken and the stoppers are fab. Had those on the 748R and they're bloody effective. I think I had Carbon Lorraine pads in mine and like you say, little dust and they're hand stand inducing once deployed in anger!
I did a steel line swap on the VFR, including the clutch, there's 14 braided lines on it! similar to what you found, bloody lines everywhere, it's some monster plumbing!!
New lines, pads and EBC discs however, work brilliantly and probably the best set up I've had on her!

Does that mean if you suggest your non binary or whatever it is, they don’t know which and you get it for free? Who would they address it to…..?

Not sure if it’s of any consequence but have you got good sparks at the plugs? I nipped off the first inch of the old leads and re attached the caps to a bike showing similar symptoms that I dragged out of a barn a couple of years ago, our 400F2.
I had done same as you and found similar results although I never ran it until hot, hot as it was only in the workshop but she was at operating temp. The old leads had just lost the poke and a bit of verdigris had crept up leads causing a crap or weaker spark. If you have the length, it’s a good tip to get a better zap out of the plugs.
Obvs if you’ve already done this then I’m sure somebody that actually knows stuff will be along soon to add something of relevance to your discussion
Hope that’s at least good for thought……

In the Tamiya paint range there is a pigment for painting the inside of clear lenses that is gold, silver, yellow, orange etc. I have some gold in the shed and I'll dig it out to have a look. Obvs its in an area wher petrol is about so maybe fuel proof laquer over the top?
If you were to spray it on first as a primary coat with a modlers spray gun to get the delivery and then laquer the lot afterwards once you've done the letters as required, it would technically be sealed but you'd have the polished metal underneath with a gold finish from the pigment coat under the laquer?
I'll report back when I've found it.........

‘‘Twas tongue in cheek as ever and I’m sure Julie got the poke. Broken teeth you say? I’m just pricing getting all mine taken out as sadly the diabetes has knackered my lower jaw. I’ve taken three out myself since crimbo and getting bored of the stress involved. Never mind having to wash my ‘brave boy’ pants thrice since December So your question might just save me about 7 grand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

That sounds interesting mate, Good choice rather than leaving them in red, they'd look like theyd come off a MotoGuzzi anchor and nobody would want that! I sent the pipes up to Nick at Camcoat last week and hoping of good things after looking at your stuff, I did mention that youd been in and I asked if he remembered you and he chuckled and acknowledged your high expectations on finish and that it was a pleasure to do stuff for you. Spoke very highly of you.............which was cool. He evidently doesnt know you I reckon Let us have a shufty at your bits when you get em back, I love finished parts back from outfits such as that, unwrapping newly coated parts is one of my favourite things as after all the hard work I get an enoromouse sense of satisfaction out of it. Yer know! Daft innit?
