I think that light green / red is used for neutral switch / light on the CJ models so maybe that somehow?
I also seem to remember that there were one or two unused wires somewhere on the CJ loom but can't recall where.

Cheers,
Andy

You legend, cheers for that. I actually thought they were fixed in the cap or part of it. Never knew they came out at all. Brill, that’s a great result

It's probably  between my ears rather than reality - when I did my rectification fit of the right bearing instead of using my lump hammer as previously to get it fully home -  I used my Orange Plastic shot filled hammer for the final strike - thinking it might stop a rebound.

Well spotted Ozzybud  I did not realise they come out!

Knowing your luck Roo it will be the last one you check that's missing!

Yes they are already painted in gloss Black in safe storage - done by the bloke in Ilkeston who was recommended to me by a sohc member (Seaman Phil?).

No petrol tap or filler cap fitted as yet - I have a tap kit & new filler cap to fit.
All the big ticket items purchased just some minor oddments for the final fettle.

Looking very good, can’t be too far off. Are the tank and panels finished?

i just had my carbs apart to adjust the needle height it is a part of the internal linkage in the diagram under #9. on the left side of the 9 box area it is the third bit down from the top. it slides up into the screw.. without it i would think getting the carbs in sync would be very difficult... I was very amazed how many pieces there were inside the carbs just for the linkage. Honda had some amazing engineering going on but this assembly is complex to say the least.
