A bit bizarre, but does anyone know what these little crocodile clips are for at 0.30 secs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnX7MWVppDQ (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QnX7MWVppDQ)

That's bizarre. In 40 odd years of biking I've never seen that. No idea what they are for.

It’ll be something to stop the riders trousers from flapping in the wind or similar....and he keeps them clipped to the fins when not in use.. you know what these bonkers japanese guys are like.. By the way has anybody checked out the movies on youtube from the Bike nostalgic channel....very cool

How intreaguing 🤔🤔🤔 Could be anti rattle, anti resonation clips as it doesn't look like he has fin rubbers in situ. Maybe they play a tune 🤣🤣🤣

Rubber blocks I have seen to damp fin vibration, but those clips look like they touch each other, which would make the rasttle worse.
My guess is it's a way of keeping food warm on the way back from the Takeaway. Clip the spring rolls on, and you are good to go.
Alternatively...he's created the worlds first 750 Toaster. Clip a piece of bread to each fin, ride round the block first thing in the morning, and when you park up, the toast is done. Residual heat should keep it warm while you get the Marmite out of the top box....
