At 6’3” and a 48” chest the standard mirrors ain’t designed to see around my bulk :-\
Anyone experience of a suitably period mirror (don’t need to be OE replicas) with longer than OE stems? I am using European spec bars which are nice and comfy, I just can’t see behind me.
Cheers

Here's the set i fitted to my 750 with offset heads, therefore gaining an extra inch. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/E-MARKED-CHROME-MIRRORS-FOR-HONDA-CB-CX-GL-CLASSIC-EARLY-STYLE-METAL-STEMS/112245127558?hash=item1a2254b986:g:wH4AAOSwUKxYi5xq.
£13.99 and not an elbow in sight.

You could try fitting the Suzuki damper thingies like on the GS750, they raise the mirrors a bit and im sure Julie posted an ebay number with longer arms.

Great info I don't know how I missed the original post but my mirrors have been a blur since 1976, despite me fitting anti vibration dampers to them back in the day, so I have ordered a pair of mirrors like Julie's and will see how they work, when the knee is good enough to ride again that is.

Many thanks for the tips, very helpful. I have just compared the adespin’s photo with my current set up and they look higher and like they extend about 2” further out, so at £13.99 ordered :)
This forum is such a fantastic resource, thanks again for taking the time to post your experiences👍👍

Further to the suggestions made look up motorcycle mirror extenders on Fleabay there are a few variations,I had a pair that had a 1” rise and around 1 1/2” wider brilliant on my Silverwing scooter
