Title: Couldn't help myself
Post by: Woodside on October 28, 2015, 09:58:38 AM
Picked this up the earlier this week
To be honest I was going to use it as a parts bike? For another k0  project that I may take on.
I just can't do it.
Other than the fact it turned up with 6months mot it runs like a dream albeit abit smokey on no1
Pipes are very good . wheels have been painted but im assured chrome is good. It was the guys daily runner for 3years and he done it so chrome didn't perish.
Think I will insure and tax then run it around for abit

Nice find, certainly too good to use for a parts bike, get out and ride it, smoking from number 1 may be a carb issue if you're lucky.

Ha !!!no afraid not...
But did get 2 perfect genuine wheels complete with near new boots? He got them from dk sometime ago and had them lined up to put on when current rubber was done for?
And a handful of useful sundries .

Just an update
I've been using the 500 for a few runs 50 miles or so each time over the holidays ......smoking is definately better....and it's a nice ride too...

And at Farnham bypass lights whilst waiting for green a young lad sat in his car beside me wound the window down complimented on the cool bike and took a photo.....of the bike not me...???

It's a good sign when the nippers love em too...
