Guess this may be one for Trigger !
Anyone know somebody who does decent repro seat foams for the CB500 ? Possibly Bob the Seat (Morretti ..in Newent) Anyone know if there is any difference K0/K1/K2?
-
My ears are burning - I also have a K0 500 seat that requires foam....
-
I need one too.......let us know how it goes.
I know the k0 v k1 etc seat bases and covers are different. ..but no idea if foam shape is odd too
-
Will call 'Bob-the-Seat' when I have a spare mo' ... think that may be where Trigger got his. I know he does foams for CB750K0's
-
Spoke with Bob ... made to order £45 plus post. He told me he made the mould for the foam.
Ordered one from him just now ! (after Christmas manufacture though)
phone Bob the seat on 01453 764864 out of hours 01531 890323

That's kind of you Bryan .. may be worth it if it's no trouble. Stayed not far from there last year in chalet at Newent Golf Club (no I don't play golf ;D) . Bob sound like a nice bloke.
Cheers ... Ash

He's making it to order Bryan and he won't take any payment until it's finished, which I imagine will be mid-January. I will email he though to check if it's OK but pretty sure it will be. He says he used to sell loads of them but it tailed off, however he's just finished making one. You may need to get in there James & Woodside if it's suitable for you too, as he may prefer to do three at once. He told me that if the pan has a flat rectangular section in it with a cross inside it's for a later model and the foam is different.
Cheers . Ash

I've used the second one down listed above recently. Good quality, easy to fit and looks really good when in place. It was an inch or so longer than needed but easily trimmed. I would recommend it.

Yeah I know..I was joking too!
I was going to elaborate a bit more as to what they would be doing with all the spare time and no wifi. ...but after a few beers and no glasses it would've been hard work
-
Now you mention it I'm not sure .
.I think reading a few past posts and comments and something to do with that cracking uk 500 k0.
I just assumed a link between them.
I will assume no more until I am put right on the matter..
Apologies if my assumption is incorrect

Work it out for yourself :) they have both moved to Linconlshire !

If it is true perhaps you do meet the nicest people on a Honda!
Wonder of it still applies if it's in bits!
