The attachment shows what I have currently. What Id like is to revert to standard sitting position. I have an F frame but need to use K pedal and spindle because of the k hub brake and brake rod (which will probably need modifying too)

I have F footpegs coming, I have a K brake pedal, K return spring and a K spindle. There are none of the lugs on the frame to take these so a I’ll have to get a bracket made to integrate these parts to the frame. I can’t actually fine a schematic of how the pedal and spindle fits into the frame so can’t actually design a bracket until I can get near a K and take some measurements and photographs.

Any serious builders out there who would know how to approach this? I’m sure it’s possible, just looking for the best of all options.

As it says in the subject it’s an f2, however I have a K swing arm on it, so may need to have new brackets made up to account for the hub brake rod

Could someone tell me which of the 2 photos is correct for hanging a k brake pedal.

The latter is being sold as a 72-76 brake pedal hanger.

Also could anyone confirm that f2 and k foot pegs are the same or different. The rear sets have to go. Bars are done.

Hi,

I haven’t posted on here for a long time, but I’m not new either, so haven’t done an introduction. Apologies,

I have a CB836 F2 for sale. All the correct and Heavy duty parts used for this engine conversion. It’s an f2 using K body parts and swing arm. Front forks are GL1000. Has CR carbs. Electronic ignition. EBC front discs, Billet top yoke, leather seat. Is running Like a dream. Customised to a high standard.
£5000 ono. Which absolutely kill’s me to type this because I’ve put over £14,000 into it and very few miles. Still you live and learn. Most paper work available from work done.

I’ve copied an icloud link below for photos hope it works.

CB750 / Would like a longer side stand
« on: September 01, 2013, 09:30:38 PM »
Hi,
Does anyone know of a compatible side stand that is a couple of inches or so longer than stock. I have quite a Lean on my F2 and now I have fitted shocks that are 1" or so longer the lean is even more. Any other solutions appreciated.

CB750 / What is the screw plug on the front of the engine.
« on: August 20, 2013, 01:56:08 PM »
I have a bit of a leak at the front of the engine, where there is a circular plug with a slot in it. I can't move it with a large flat head. The slot is a bit chewed. I obviously need to replace it, but don't even know what it's called or what it's for. Neither do I know how I'm going to get it out. Any advice on this and why it would leak oil. :-\

CB750 / 4th gear failing to engage.
« on: March 11, 2012, 02:56:33 PM »
My engine has recently been rebuilt and is running well. However it is failing to engage into 4th and has to be put back into 3rd to engage drive. Is this likely to be clutch adjustment?

CB750 / Hole in Cylinder Head on F2
« on: September 08, 2011, 02:46:32 PM »
My apologies if I have not done a formal introduction, I joined over 2 years ago and cannot seem to find my old posts if any.

Big problem

I built an F2 cafe racer in 2009 and kitted out the engine with an 836 kit and new valves, titanium valves guides, chain, engine studs, cam etc. It also now has 29mm smooth bore carbs. I have been observing a slight oil seepage on the fins. This very small oil leak from the fins recently started to grow to the point of running down and off the frame, only after a ride, but not whilst just sitting there like an old brit bike.

I have had the right hand exhaust off and between the first two R/H/S exhaust ports I can see what appears to be a shiney shaft, which I can only assume is an engine stud. I surmise from this I have melted a hole in my cylinder head. Not sure how, although with all the tuning and upgrades the performance increased immensely. I'm not sure where maximum Red line would be on this config, but I may have gone past it a couple of times. All that said and done I would not expect to melt a hole in the cylinder head. Can anybody out there clarify, what may have caused this. Also has anyone got an F2 cylinder head for sale? ???
