I'm restoring a Suzuki GS650G Katana and I'm finding that those resilient mounts/cushions/ grommet thingies are perished. That's those rubber doofers used in conjunction with a metal tube and a penny washer - as per battery box, headlamp bracket etc, secured with an M6 bolt.
The question is.. rather than pay a fiver each for them, there must be a cheaper source somewhere. After all, they're very similar to bog standard grommets. Any suggestions ??

Sorry I've no suggestions, but would be very interested in the answer. Those things are a rip off.

It may be worth you sending a PM to Trigger, he is a mine of info with obscure parts

I'll search RS for electrical grommets, perhaps with a bit of modifying they'll do the job.

type 'rubber step bushings' into ebay. i got some a few years ago for my TL125 resto. i had to slice them a little. theyre from the US but it turned out cheaper than buying them in the UK

Thanks for that, with the p&p it works out at 63p each and they still need some fettling. I'll keep that option in reserve while I keep searching.
