Hi all,
who do you use for insurance?
Most of hte major sites dont seem to list the 1976 cb750f1 and even the advisors have trouble tracking the correct bike down.
Just had a quote of £400 for that and my 2004 Triumph Thruxton.
seems very steep to me considering i only pay £150 fully comp for my Thruxton by itself!

I am in the process of looking for insurance for my 78 F2 too.
I have my other 2 bikes (FZS600 and XT350) insured with Bennets/Zenith and that policy cant take another bike so I have tried Carole Nash. They too had trouble finding the right bike but seemed happy to insure it all the same with my cafe racer modifications (check out their vintage policies). They quoted me £130 but I also pay £115 for the other 2 so would like to try and combine.
I am kind of stuck in limbo until the other policy is up for renewal in April.

Have you guys tried Peter James, been with them a few years now Nash and Bennets are now owned by big companies that are not interested in classic bikes to be honest.

I use Carol Nash for all my classic bikes, 8 of 'em. Fully comp' agreed value £1800 for most (1100cc), down to £1000 for others, Euro recovery, paid £145 last week.

found a local broker Frames Insurance in Broadstairs Kent.
Very helpful and used to dealing with classic / modified bikes (mainly harleys).
All sorted in under 20 minute!
£155 fully comp for both bikes!

I will check some of these out too. Unfortunately, your local is the extreme opposite end of the country from mine (Orkney Islands, Scotland) but I am not sure if that matters.

My CB750F1 is insured with Carol Nash, agreed value and recovery thrown in, £120 last year.

Peter James. 2 bikes, with recovery comes to about £88 ish.

But only if you keep them in a garage, won't even quote if you want to have one locked to a ground anchor in the drive!!!

Well these are classic bikes, why wouldn't you keep them locked up in a secure building, if I was running a insurance company I would insist on a locked building is garage, workshop, living room.
