I read a post earlier today in Anoraks Corner...about a 'replacement swing arm for a 400'
Nurse Julie referenced a Dresda swing arm....
I searched Dresda to see if they advertised them and got lots of results including the website below, an interview either Dave Degens ( it's quite a good read)....

He talks about being in a programme called Dangerman with Patrick McGoohan...never heard of it..I must be too young....
I'm now trying to avoid the evenings football, scroll down to London Live/ channel 8 where there is a black and white programme on....checked the listings...its Danger Man with Patrick McGoohan. How spooky.
Only spookier thing would be if I spot Mr Degens!

;D definitely spooky.
They're all out to get you you know :D
Used to go into Dresda shop when he had that on Putney bridge road, think I'd probably still recognise him.

Then the program became The Prisoner.
He has a Lotus 7 in the Dangerman series.
YES i am that old!!!

I got confused, I was visualising Danger Mouse 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Great read - just read a short 'bookazine' on Colin Seeley. Great to read of these characters from the past

A few years back we visited the village where the prisoner was filmed - it was an interesting day but the village needed some money spent on it as it was quite shabby. Interesting background to how the village was originally built a Victorian excentric who collected buildings from all over the world rebuilding them on site- Portmeirion.

I seem to rememer Dave Degens place was at one end of a row of shops with the place you got Sunbeam bike spares at the other, but this was 76 driving a transit for Neal Frazer when he was banned(again) also visiting Slocombes of Neasen and a wholesaler called Mobyke importers of the rotary engined bikes

I didn't realise it was the forerunner to The Prisoner. Looks good though and later series are in colour too..lots of gadgets!!

Got to confess, Dangerman and the prisoner were favourites of mine, we went to Portmeirion in 2016 and it has been "done up" and is a nice day out.
Cheers

I've been to Portmeirion several times and really like it. You can stay there in the accommodation (for a price!)
and they have a Prisoner festival every year if you're a fan of the series.
There was a TV series all about Portmeirion recently. ITV The Village.

I well remember "Dangerman", it was one of two programes i made sure i was at home for, the other was "The Fugitive" with David Janssen, good memories. Patrick McGoohan would have made a great James Bond.
