CB750 / Felt wadding -- sabotage?
« on: November 14, 2023, 05:05:36 PM »
[ Guests cannot view attachments ] First run on a restored 750 and got about 4 miles out and engine faded and died.Had similar probs with a yamaha years ago with blocked fuel cap so released fuel cap,, brand new DS cap and sure enough I'm away again.
Just taken cap apart and there is a small circular wad of felt jammed between the rubber enclosing washer and vent hole.
Not at all impressd...Anyone else had problem with felt?

A Yankee import K5 with lots of robbed parts and incorrect parts stuck back on.
Slowly working my way through it.Given up on using too many new parts as have two daughters to run at the same time! So hence the  phrase!
I have a buyer waiting for it but its gonna be awhile

CB750 / Idiot console bulb holder rubbers
« on: January 24, 2023, 04:57:02 PM »
Hi,My import 750 K5 idiot console bulb holders used to have a rubber seal around them to fit into missing console.
After many years in the sun and sand they have perished and have the brittle remains of one left.
Has any fellow member found a solution to this problem?
Thanks

Has anyone had experiance in using the colour Planet Blue mettallic?
Does it require a basecoat/undercoat to bring out the finish?
Having never seen this colour except on pics on internet would appreciate some knowledge.

CB750 / Float level/hieght 750 K4
« on: November 14, 2022, 04:48:54 PM »
Hello,Been using the search box to find correct fuel level in the bowl.No find.
Went through the online manual covering mine and it shows a gauge being used.Where would I look to find dimms of such gauge?
I do prefer to use clear tube on adaptor from drain ,is there a measurement for that?
Thanks in advance
