Title: CB750 K1
Post by: 750rideruk on April 28, 2020, 07:02:43 PM
When cruising at about 60-70 my bike seems to 'hunt' or falter slightly. Opening the throttle it is fine. As we are only part throttle I have ordered pilot jets size 42 which is one size up. these are about 4 mm longer than the STD ones. will these be OK as obviously will pick up fuel from lower in the float bowl.. Can anyone throw any light on my predicament?

It's more likely the needle

Try lifting the clip one slot.
Making it slightly leaner.

What colour are the plugs?

You don't mention other important factors.
Exhaust or airfilter/pods or standard.
But I found recently. Upping the pilots won't help.
My 750k1 has 4 into 1 and Bellmouths.
After a lot of farting about. It now runs pretty damn good
Through the range.
Standard pilots. Needles up 1 notch. 120 mains.

its got std airfilter and 341 exhausts. I thought that the bike might be running a bit weak as it feels as if it needs more fuel as when opening the throttle from cruising it pulls strongly.
