Title: Trigger & Nurse Julie
Post by: heliwilly on May 22, 2019, 09:23:07 PM
Hi,
I went with my brother Ross to see Graham and Julie today as my brother needed some work doing on the head and barrels of his CB400.

It is amazing how much information you can pick up by watching, listening ant talking to two people who have been into motorbikes as long as they have

Graham is, in my opinion, the most fastidious of engineers I have known. The customer always come first, but not at the cost of a perfect build.

My brother knows that when he gets his barrels and head back they will be spot on. The price and timescale are as you would expect for that kind of quality engineering

Both Graham and Julie are source of knowledge of the early Honda's. Whilst Graham's skills lie in the engineering side of things, Julie runs him a close second and makes a far superior cuppa. In fairness I haven't tasted one of Graham's cuppa's, he was too busy talking Honda.

Looking forward to meeting you both again, along with the dogs, when we pick up the CB400 parts.
Thanks again for the hospitality today.  Bill W.

Ditto. Without Graham and Julie my builds would be utter shite. A pair of legends.

Ill second and third that as both my 400/4 and 750 engines have had top end work done by Graham and his work and knowlage is second to none.
Great couple and as you say Graham WILL NOT do anything but what is correct no matter how you ask him.
Julie well not many would take on a full engine rebuild especially with Graham looking over her shoulder and watching every move (and in the cold workshop :'() and she makes a fine bacon or sausage butty ;D

I have various engine bits with Graham and Julie.  Had the confidence to  do this having met them previously and general forum stuff. Top people - Graham even checked and rebuilt my crank while Julie and I were drinking a cuppa.  Excellent team with Graham's engineering and Julie's communication of progress and  any problems. I just know it will be right!

Thank you to ALL of you for your comments, including the many people who have had engine work done by Graham but want to keep it secret.......Its a pleasure to help keep these lovely old bikes on the road for the future. I know the part I play is small compared to what Graham does but without my Tea making skills, well, work would come to an absolute standstill  ;D ;D ;D xx

Julie....a Lady of your undoubted class and upbringing should already know what they said about Ginger Rogers and Fred Astaire.....but I'll remind you:

"Sure he was great, but don't forget that Ginger Rogers did everything he did,...backwards, and in high heels." LOL.

The best measure for any business or Tradesperson is that Customers come back regularly, and if many always pick you as their first choice......well you are doing it right.

Trig and Julie are two really great and genuine people and a few of your engines here are late coming back because of us holding them up over numerous cups of tea :)

OH no. I'm so sad. I didn't know that the Sister and Trigger were joined at the hip. Where will I find my next wife now!
More importantly (sorry Julie) who will sort my electrics out. Only firing on 3 cylinders instead of the usual 5!!

Still I'll get the front wheel back on before I take it to Horncastle.

Above sentiments fully endorsed.
