Title: Coming out of the woodwork
Post by: bandwidth69 on September 14, 2006, 12:38:56 PM
Hi everyone. I'm already registered with the CB650 forum at http://www.hondacb650.com/index.php - Just saying \"hello\" from rainy North Wales. I'm a '79 CB 650Z owner, although I have an '83 CBX 750 an '82 CB 250 RS, a '92 Suzuki GSX 600F and a '65 Triumph chop. Rescued my \"old girl\" from a mate two years ago now. Since then she's had most things seen to, in a bid to get her back to as \"original\" spec as possible. She's by no means mint, she's used a lot - even in the winter and is quite simply a brilliant machine. When I get some time I'll honour a longstanding promise to post some pics of her and her friends on the 650.com forum as well as this one too! My CB is a standard, UK spec 650 - however purists will be dissmayed to read that she's now painted in a lovely mettalic black curtosey of the Ford Motor company. Panther Black to be precise, just like my Escort. She's also lost her tank badges and other decals - so isn't obviously a Honda either when you first take a look at her. I sort of like that. We've ben through a lot - I've gotten some trials sorted with the jetting of her carbs following the fitment of some natty K&N filters (though it took an age and a lot of cash!) She's almost finished - i need a new seat (dave Silver job) and a UK spec rear Grab Rail (there's a US one fitted at the moment for which I had to..um..\"alter\" the seat to get it to fit!) Anyway. Any more welsh CB owners out there?
