The chrome on the rear wheel rim of my 750 K1 has worn down to dull metal, i guess through enthusiastic polishing over 50 years. What is the best new rim and stainless spokes to buy, or should i rechrome the original DID rim?

If rim is not bent or damaged other way I would re-chome it.

Yes I agree .. quite expensive though ...you are looking at between £100 and £120 to get a rim rechromed in my experience. I did get some done for £75 each not so long back and they were "OK" 'ish but you can tell the difference in the ones I paid around £100 each for. If you do go for rechroming make sure they don't polish out the DID logo ... D.A.H.I.F.K.T. :(

Just buy new rims ;) To re chrome a rim, they must be in very good condition, no rust on the inside. The more the rust, the more the rim is out of balance.
