Post by: 4wDaz on November 23, 2020, 05:18:50 PM
Hi does anyone have a recommendation for new pistons ? My engine needs a rebuild and a rebore, I’ve looked at Silvers website but is there anything better available ? Thanks

If you really want to push the boat out, there is a set of plus 50's on Ebay, genuine unused Honda parts, includes rings, gudgeon pins and circlips. But, you might want to take out a mortgage, £300.

Yes, we use their piston / ring kits regularly on CB SOHC/4. I also used them on my 400/4 engine overhaul.

After a long delay I'm ready to have the rebore done, the engineer has asked me to provide the standard bore size (51mm, 2.0079) and the Cruzinimage piston clearance ? I remember reading a post by Julie which said what Cruzinimage piston clearance was but I can't find it now. Thanks
