Early GL1000 rear master cylinder seal kit 43510-371-305 will replace master cylinder seal kit 43510-392-305 for 1976 CB750f all it requires is 6mm cutting off the threaded pushrod.

The GL1000 rear master seal kit 43510-371-305 came this morning. The only thing I have had to do is cut 6mm off the threaded pushrod. It works fine. :)

As its getting harder to find rear master seal kits for the 750f1 the 2 piston seals are the same as the ones in the front master cylinder. Both cylinders measure 14mm and both pistons 13.8mm.

I have just pulled the rear master cylinder in bits and the original front master cylinder and doing some measuring. The 2 piston seals in both front and rear master cylinders are the same. Could be a bit of useful info for someone.  Both cylinder bores are 14mm and pistons 13.8mm

Not available with Motogrid but thanks anyway. I have read that early GL 1000 seal kits fit  with little modification to the pushrod. I've ordered one so we will see.

Does anyone know if the actual seals in the front master cylinder are the same as the rear master cylinder.

Help needed, I can't find a rear master cylinder seal kit for a USA 1976 CB750f I assume all F1s the same. DSS and CMS no stock. Its just starting to show wet. If it gets to the dripping stage will brake fluid do any damage to the silencer. I know it does paintwork no favours.
Cheers Chris

Especially at this time of year. At times you would think you were running a water pump. I have a 750F1 that still has its original exhaust in good condition. Rightly or wrongly every few tanks of fuel I throw in 100ml of 2stoke oil with the intention of trying to get a oily film on the inside of the exhaust to try and preserve it a while longer. You see plenty of old strokers about with there original systems on.

What is it? / Re: Tank cover....
« on: January 19, 2017, 11:40:19 PM »
I had one on my 750 f1 back in 1977 they are just to go over the tank to protect it. They make the tank surprisingly warm between your legs when you fill up with petrol. They were in the same  colour as the tank . I've been looking for one for the 750f1 I have  now.

Merry Christmas one and all. Hope Santa finds me a good 750 f1 tank.  :)
Pure Unicorn dung, been looking for a spare for years!

Looks like the search will continue then.

Well you couldn't credit it. Santa didn't bring me a F1 tank but put one on flea bay with a buy now or offer and offer accepted. Good old Santa. :) :) MERRY CHRISTMAS.
