Title: Newbie Here from Birmingham UK
Post by: Bertie on September 23, 2008, 10:21:08 AM
Hello all. Quick introduction. I live in Birmingham and have recently acquired a 750K5 (the frame says 11/75 but all engine numbers relate to a 76k6) that the wife does not yet know about. The aim is to have it up and running in a sensible condition for the TT's in 2009.

She is not in the best condition and missing a lot of items I'm struggling to find at the moment. As a US import that seems to have been used by the US Naval Airforce at Salt Lake as it has a tax excemption on the front fork indication this and judging by the amount of sand under the seat could be right (just worried about the internals). She has had a DIY paint job and in all honesty a bit rough around the edges but the chrome and frame are in A1 condition. The frame has not got a mark on it.

Been doing a GL1000K0 with 12000 miles on the clock and one owner from new (except me) up for the last year as well but this has suddenly taken a back burner and just finished a DT50mx for a friends 16 year old son. My everyday bike is a 883R tractor.

Nice to find a forum just for SOHC's.

Built in 75 would be a 76 model so K6, I have the US ID book if you want to post the engine/frame numbers.
For parts try www.ebay.com as thats the US site, most sellers will ship to UK if asked BUT the american post office only does airmail now so it can be a bit expensive, or try posting on our sister site www.sohc4.net they are a good bunch and helpful

Bryanj,

Cheers for this.

Frame is: CB7502558756
Engine: CB750E2447042

Can you identify the original colour code from this information?

As for the rear brake arm have dropped the honda company in the states and e-mail. I have been looking on the UK ebay for the item and have given up on it. It is one of those items I just want so i can safely take it for a run.
