Title: Which metal polish?
Post by: Athame57 on October 18, 2020, 05:47:01 PM: Is the substantial extra cost of using Simichrome paste instead of Autosol justified. Experiences anyone?

OK..Simichrome is about £10.00. But is it a lot better?

Post by: adespin on October 19, 2020, 01:46:58 PM: Solvol is mildly abrasive so i don't use it on chrome, i use furniture polish on chrome and Solvol Autosol for aluminium followed by Belgom Alu that contains wax. By the way it appears that Autosol no longer uses the name Solvol and is made in Germany by Dursol Fabrik, but i still call it Solvol.

I wondered where the Solvol bit had vanished to.
