Title: Where to buy new Spokes , rear
Post by: kendo57 on April 12, 2011, 06:41:43 PM
can anybody recomend where i can buy front and rear spoke sets for my 550F2.
I know David Silver do pattern front sets but only genuine Honda rear which are expensive.

You could try Central Wheel in the Midlands, I think they manufacture their own for wheel rebuilding.  They advertise in all the classic mags.

hi Kendo i recently got some stainless rear spokes from Central wheels, but did have  a bit of trouble, the first set were slightly too short, the second set were a little long!! As they make to order it may be best to send them a sample of your old spokes to be sure.Look nice now fitted with new rim and will not rust.Hope this helps, Mick

Ended up at http://www.cwylde.co.uk/section.php?xSec=2&jssCart=b5a0cd667401a3aa80ebfe034d9dfa0a (http://www.cwylde.co.uk/section.php?xSec=2&jssCart=b5a0cd667401a3aa80ebfe034d9dfa0a)

Ordered stainless rims and spokes, would have loved some alloy flanged rims but i am already over budget.
The guy at Wyldes was friendly and steered me towards the cheapest options before i made a
decission which was nice. Will take about 3 weeks before i can collect and try my hand at wheel building,
quite looking forward to it.
In the mean time i can polish up the hubs .
