I had a GT250A and it was probably one of my favourite bikes.

Went like hell but wouldn't quite pull a ton.

I considered fitting an electronic system to my CB550 but in view of the mileage I was doing and the cost of the system I decided to stay with the points.

OK they're a bit fiddly but they work fine and they won't just die on you.

Other Bikes / Re: CB500t; has anyone here owned one?

I was looking at a W650 in a Melbourne bike shop last week.

It's a 360 degree twin with a gear driven OHC and looks really "British".

Quite rare over here and expensive too. The shop had 3 for sale and newest was a 2005 and they wanted $11,000 for it.

For $13,000 you can get a new Triumph Bonneville T100.

I had a Morgan Carbtune and it was excellent.

Simple to use and works really well.

My local Honda dealer is only 5 mins down the road so a test ride may be in order if it comes to Aus.

What a great video!

Nice bike too although I'm not sure about the silver side panels.

I'll have to keep an eye out at the local Honda dealer to see if it comes over here.

In Melbourne there seems to be some sort of weekly price cycle.

It goes up on a Thursday evening (just in time for the weekend?) and then it goes back down by the same amount a few days later.

Haven't fathomed out why yet. It's currently around $1.20 a litre.
