Title: K0 seat
Post by: Oceans4 on July 14, 2019, 10:36:27 PM
Good evening,
The seat base on our 500 K0 project is rotten and unfortunately it has gone past the point of repair.
Does anyone happen to know if there are any available at the moment?
Even the pattern parts seem to be out of stock.
Thanks.
Andy and Pete.

Aftermarket seats are available but, not sure if the pan is plastic or metal. Bob makes these seats and if you contact him, I am sure he will sell you a pan or maybe cheaper just to buy a whole new seat   ;) ;)                                                  LINK >>> https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB500K0-FOUR-1971/part_32574/

Decent 500K0 seats are mega rare. My mate in York bought a 500K1  from DK that he takes each year to the Ramsey Sprint.
It came with a K0 seat and when I was at his place a few weeks back he offered me the seat and rear guard as he's fitted some kind of custom seat/guard to his bike (yuk!). I declined as I alreadty have a dealer take-off seat for my K0 and the rear guard was a K1 type. Seem to remember the cover was torn but the base and foam were really nice as it only had a claimed (by DK  :D ) 3k miles on it. I will ask him if he still wants to sell it. The b*gger still has my carbs on his bike, that I need back sometime.... so a few bob may help him get some.

Thanks Guys.
My Dad hasn't looked hard enough on the DS site then! Lol.
With the way that costs are mounting we may be better off spending £125 on the pattern part as it will probably be cheaper in the end as Trigger says.

He is very inpatient. Just had a text to say that he has ordered the seat
