If you want twin disc it may be possible to modify your original drive plate depending on the front hub. Does the hub have two flats on it

Ive not had a proper look yet & I don't have the facilities to chop the original one down properly. Id rather buy a properly made plate.

The one from Germany looks well made, just costly postage  :-[

Is it for a 500 or 550?

The forks are different, there is no fitting point for a 2nd caliper arm on the 500 forks. They are completely different forks.

Not able to zoom in on your right fork leg - if it has a calliper mounting point it should be a mirror image of the left side fork bolt lugs - four in total iirc.
Two top ones that hold fender & top arm pivot, large lower bolt, caliper adjustment bolt hole.

It depends what lower legs have been fitted.

Thats because its nothing like a standard 500, probably 550 forks, and riding without a mudguard/fork brace is asking for handling problems

Wait till you hit a bump in a corner, without the brace the forks flex every which way

With that size front tyre handling won't be too good anyway :o
And the speedo will read too (s)low as well...

I can give you a pic of how to modify the plate as long as you have the two flat type hub
