Title: 500k2 Carb Actuating Bar Removal
Post by: philward on December 13, 2020, 05:51:48 PM
How do I remove the actuating bar? (want to re-zinc the part on it) I've taken the half moon weddges out the bar but when I lightly tap the end of the bar, it feels like its hitting a pin or something but can't see any.

Do not try to force the bar until you remove the pin, this will damage the bronze bush.
I drill the pin out and then tap a thread and make a small screw with a nipple on the end to sit in the groove of the bar, as per pictures.
