Between the 2 pairs of carbs where the spring is there are 2 vertical pipe fittings and I don't have anything connected to them. Should I have?
Cheers, Bob

Just vent pipes, no problem if no pipe is fitted but nice if there is.

Ta, Julie
I can't see through the tank so I'll no bother then! ;D

... been too long since I rebuilt my carbs, but in the event of an accident is there a chance of fuel exiting the vent pipes onto the hot engine / battery area etc? Hence the OEM tubing down to the centre stand....
Just a thought. (& appreciating we’re not talking the float bowl overflows here)

Indeed, you are 100% correct Simon. From the safety perspective the tubes should be fitted as Mr Honda intended. I have them fitted on all my bikes but know many that don't bother.

Hmmmm...take your point, but DS's price for these pipes are a bit heavy and as I've already spent the next year's holiday fund on the bike maybe someone suggest an alternative? ???
While I have the carbs on the bench I want to statically set the mixture screws and sync the carbs. Any recommendations on this?

Don't buy the tubing from DS, get it from Planet Silicone

Set the air screws 1½ turns out to start with. and follow this procedure for bench syncing by Bryan
