Hi all
New member here just saying hello
Been hanging around on the USA site until Nurse Julie pointed me in the right direction
Long story but not been on bikes for a long time until about three years ago when got serious ill where my darling wife caught me on the ward reading a classic bike mag and after a short chat decided that I could have a bike again
Started off my first bucket list bike and fully restored a RD350LC back from a total eBay wreck

Then late last year she asked what was next and said I wanted a CB400F as a stable mate as this was my second bucket list bike
Again bought a reasonable bike that looked a bit shabby and spent the last six month tweaking

She is not original but I have added some changes such as a twin disc front end

Non standard exhaust

Rebuilt the wheel myself with alloy rims and stainless spokes

Rebuilt the clocks
(https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20200808/2ecf6a8627a7877586c999afa2d518b2.jpg)
And updated the front headlight with a halogen headlight and the Yamaha rd twin horn theme which I have alway likes the look off

Got a way to go yet but good enough to run for the summer (once I have cleaned and rebuilt the carbs due to it not ticking over smoothly) and then once autumn is here plan then will be to finish it off with a full paint job tank and side panels and engine out for a complete strip and rebuild
Lastly just so I don’t get bored also building a hybrid that hopefully will be totally radical

I know most of the older CB’s are not masses of plastic parts like the RD but if I can help out at all please ask
Best wishes Al

Welcome to the forum, some nice bikes there and interesting projects.
I like that mix of bikes from similar era both two and four stroke to ride. So very different in character with a contrasting riding experience.
