When you think about it. It is only a lump of metal, just like a baking tray. Always be careful when doing heads, always replace the valve guide O'rings. And if you wish to splash out, you could put some K-liners in.

Bryan, in all my years i have never seen a UK CB500K0 until this one. It also seems a bit strange that i have a microfiche for a 1971, KO, UK. What is the part Number please?

You must watch out when buying a Full gasket set. The wording is right. It doesn't say full gasket set and full O'ring set And if you get on to M&P that is what they will tell you but, give it a go. Full O'ring set. Never had one or seen one. Better to buy Vesrah or NP, that is if you can find one.

Oddjob, 4 mounting holes in the rear mudguard, black tail light bracket. Front mudguard has 4 holes on top for the front number plate bracket. The guy i got it from had a 1973 CB500 four with a front number plate, so i was wondering why the K0 had it missing

Someone got a top bargain and the exchange rate made it even cheaper. James, you sat on the fence too long on that one.

Ewan, 3 inch's? Are you on about 3 inch between the tyre and the frame? Because you must take on board that you have got rid of the inner mudguard, which is 3 inch's in. I am not sure how Norniron has got away with this loss of clearance but, he did something right.
