A good price seing the exchange rate on the euro is very good at the moment. I think i got 1.25 to the pound the other day. Not as good as back in 2004 when you could get 1.62 to the pound.

Lobo, 0.03 is very good if that is your first time. I will keep my mouth shut on what my first lacing job looked like. It wouldn't of pasted a flintstone MOT but, that was 30 years ago. I did notice that someone was selling new wheel balancing stands on fleabay cheap.

Nice job Lobo. Long way round. Are you saying that someone quoted you 300 for two wheels to be laced? Have you got the tank back yet?

6711
That is what i call a good vapour finish. The tank and panels look spot on Drew.

Yes, they start off with putting the engine in the steam cleaner. Than strip, before another steam clean. Soda blast then vapour.
Very nice finish :) :) :)

I use T&L engineering. Most people do not realize that all the corrosion needs to be removed first. This can be done by soda blasting the engine first. Vapour blasting is basically aqua blasting with a media mixed in. It is no good on journal areas but, if you soda blast first then reassemble the casings and plug before vapour it turns out OK.

All this Jerking boy's. 280 is a bush.

Paint is cheap. Loads of money is vapour blasting the engine but, it is a top finish.

Before putting the head back on check that all the valves are seated. By testing them with fuel down the ports. Do not know if you have re-cut the seats and lapped the valves in???

Don't worry Drew, we are here to hold you hand. Well give you all the advise you need. I have been building Honda engines for some 26 years now. So get your camera out and take some pic's. Then post them and we will advise.
