Hi everyone. Finally got her out of conservatory onto the road. She started instantly,revs on stand around the clock. Off I went up the road and maximum revs is about 3k. Looking for suggestions on where to start investigating first? Carbs/timing/?  ? Thanks for any and all suggestions Paul

Hello everyone.
Well the 400 is finally finished.
Starts on the button-sounds awesome.
Only problem now is indicators don’t flash-they come on-front and rear and console.
Relay clicks once-but no flashing.
Every other lightetc works perfect.
Relay swapped for working item-still no wink wink.
Open to suggestions please?

The attached photo shows the front brake system that came with my 400/4.
Looking for schematic of it-but it is not same as type in Haynes.
Can anyone suggest what Honda it is from?

When trying to fit the 2 spacers on rear wheel I am having to crow bar with excessive force to fit wheel. My bike is an f2 now fitted with f1 swinging arm.can anyone advise if spacers are different in length on the 2 models?? My spacers are 28mm and 44mm in length. It is possible mine is USA import due to wiring which has been much closer to us wiring diagram in Haynes. Cheers Paul

Today she ran for first time.all seems well.i have comstars(for now) which I quite like.need tyres.read some old posts,thought I would ask current opinion.my rims are F: 1.85x19. R:1.85x18

Hi, my carb has the 4 breather tubes at bottom of carbs.pipe to tank for fuel,what are the 2 long tubes at top of carbs for? Just breather tubes?

Nearly there with complete rebuild.
In putting oil filter etc back on,Haynes shows a Metal spacer between end of filter and engine.
I do not have this,nor does there sem to be room.
Anyone comment/advise please?
Also,had to change swinging arm from F2 to F1,cut off footrests,when I put back wheel on-right hand side spacer (twice length of left hand) pushes the swinging arm out a little too much for my liking.Could be my eyes!! Again,anyone had similar issue please?

Just received new tensioner shaft from dis.old one was metal with material piece glued to end.new one is metal only.anyone had experience of same? It seems wrong metal on metal

Stripped engine down to crankshaft etc.housing that kickstart shaft sits inside is broken in half.hence why no Kickstarter on bike when bought.can rebuild without,however just thought I would ask if anyone had lower case available?
Also obvious engine rebuilt after this original damage,what other bits should I replace-bearing shells etc?? Any advice n suggestions appreciated.regards Paul

Good afternoon friends,
I now have the frame down to bare steel,looks quite shiny,very tempting to just lacquer it!!! Serioulsy,I would apprciate advice/suggestions.
I have no problem with spray cans.
Also I am based in Merseyside area,so if Powder Coatings is best option,anyone know if company in my "area"?

Hi again when removing engine the above mentioned bolt snapped in half. So nut and half bolt in situ. Looking at end of bolt it is slightly into engine casing,I suspect if I remove with Dremel etc I could end up with a leak.so all solid,no leaks,do I rebuild and leave this engine mounting out of eqaution???

Ok stripped bike frame down to last nut n bolt,engine out. Swinging arm is split on left hand side.before I try to source original (feel free to offer 1 if available) will an alternative fit off different model? Thanks Paul
