I've got 2 chainguards, one on the bike, chrome is quite dull and lifeless and has light pitting all over and the original where all the chrome has flaked and rusted , not deeply pitted though.
My plan was to consider rechroming them, on the basis that near mint or NOS seem to go for around the

Had mine done and a load of other parts done in St Helens only cost about 70 odd quid the lot, looks better than new now.

This was a quote from them!
I sent them some photos of the guards and this is the price they stated
and my description is pretty accurate just dull and lifeless and light pitting, they are not as bad as some being sold on ebay at present
