well I bought a repo front mudguard. Looks ok, bit of a bugger to fit as the stays seem to be a bit too long.

Hi, not a purist either but i had some chroming done a few years ago, the front mudguard needs to be chromed but I'll end buying are repo. The chain guard is going to have to be powder coated. Pity

Hi,
popped into the local chroming place I have used before to get a price for chroming the front mudguard. They quoted me £400 and they even smiled as they said it. I did check it was chrome and not gold plated! That's ridiculous, I can only assume they are pricing me out. Looks like a repo one for me. Any good places to get one? 10

thanks gents, I've only gone and done it.......
cant recall if my guide was the r=wrong way round, but i also felt the chain drop in on a test fit. happy days..... 12

grrrr, I cant do it, I have now split the casings again.
can someone confirm the orientation of the primary chain guide in the lower casing (which way the dot faces) the upper can only go one way. I was thinking this might be the issue if its putting some pressure on the chain?? 13

Hi,
i've put the crank back in ect, joined the two cases but am now d=struggling to put the shaft thru the primary drive clutch. Its a new primary drive chain off DSS. It's close to fitting but i just cant do it. Am i missing some thing? any tips or tricks? 15
