CB350/400 / Exhaust Collet/Clamp advice
« on: September 21, 2019, 11:53:39 AM »
Took the exhaust off to clean it and had the collets blasted due to lack of chrome lol, what’s the best high temperature paint to use for painting them.
Ive also sent the carbs off to Bergen in Holland for the full works so I’m not in a rush.

True but I like the old style plate and it’s legal for that year of bike.

Announcements / New number plate rules
« on: September 10, 2019, 09:43:16 PM »
This is the link to the latest update to number plate rules and regulations, interestingly more vehicles are now eligible to display the black and white plates
Vehicles made before 1 January 1973 may display traditional ‘black and white’ number plates (for example, white, silver or grey characters on a black plate). From April 2019 vehicles manufactured before 1 January 1979 are also able to display traditional ‘black and white’ number plates. You must:
• haveappliedtoDVLA
• beregisteredwithinthe‘historicvehicles’taxclass.

CB350/400 / Air filter box panching plates and gauze filter
« on: September 06, 2019, 04:56:33 PM »
Hi after reading a post earlier I realised I didn’t have the lower air filter part on my bike I only had the breather chamber which was not connected.
It consists of the breather pipe from the head to the chamber then it filters gasses back up into the air filter box, this is all situated below the filter area.
I managed to source the panching plate A, our good Nurse Julie posted how to make a filter from a scourer and I then made the panching plate B from the inside of a used air filter as this part is discontinued.
The parts in the diagram are numbers 24, 25 & 26
