CB750 / Re: Engine in frame

Hi Guys
Wow-- looking at the photos reminds me of the great pleasure I had totally rebuilding one of my Ks - what a feeling of relief when that engine goes in the frame and you stand it up, not taking apart, its going back together, I to obviously don't have a life, whats sad about that is its probably right.

Hi Guys
This is the norm on ebay.com, many a time that fantastic k0 is on there at $2800 dollars, selling on behalf of a friend who works on a cruise ship- was told it was in florida so I called there bluff and said strange I am in the states in a few days, I will come and see it, the end of communication. The bike shown is actually in Canada, advised the guy, he took it up with ebay, they didn't give a toss. Keep on your toes guys

Hey Bitsa
I am not the avid forum guy, once the cold sets in I pick on one of my bikes and try to improve it and spend my nights trawling through e-bay and the likes for bits. Sorry, I have only just noticed you made a comment about my bike, wanting to know what was hanging out of the side panel, well, all my bikes stay on life support, my vfrs have two leads, one lifesupport and the other for sat nav. Thanks for your reply.

Hi Guys
David Silvers, well -I spend more money with these guys than enough, £1800 for a cbx and cb750 [pattern] exhaust. They are great to deal with but £200 plus for a caliper, well, I will keep looking and hope one of the guys on the forum will help me out.

Dear Pete
Its a k3, I believe that the K3/4/5/6 are all the same, the k7 is slightly different, inlet and bleed at angles to one another.
Thanks for your interest, I am pulling my hair out trying to find one.

« on: November 27, 2013, 06:29:36 PM »
Hi Guys
Need some help, would anyone have a front caliper for a cb750, have purchased couple from the states but when I get them they are not what I need, one is off a k7 - the other-god knows. Happy to pay the going rate, just desperate. Met a guy at the Stafford show who had one, gave me his phone number, it don't ring. So if you can help, would really appreciate it.

Thanks guys
Found some Goldwing bolts on e/bay, see how I go with them. Winters coming --have to decide which bike is a project, cbx, gl1000, or dare I say a good old gt750.

Hi Guys
Thanks for the comments, my bikes are part of me, don't expect them tp be perfect, the old originals just have something about them. Not entertained by the thought that this was the bike that killed of the brits, nothing good about that, truth being-- they just worked and worked well.

CB750 / bolts for twin discs
« on: September 28, 2013, 08:27:52 PM »
Hi guys
wow--2 messages in one day-- must have been asked a hundred times-- where can I get a set of longer bolts so I can fit twin discs to my k2. Is it just a case of taking originals to a supplier and asking them?

Hi Guys
My two cb750s are in classic bike mag, have not read it yet but the guys from the mag were really good. Please. the purists amongst you will pick a few holes in my gold one, [front page of mag] but bottom line - like the majority of us, I am just trying to preserve a couple of wonderfull machines of there day. Its def a love affair, if I could afford a dozen more - I would. Again, thanks to the guys who pointed me in the right direction.

Hi Guys
I had a run on one in aussie, pondered about it for days afterwards, having cb1300s-I wanted to compare them. Entirely diff bikes- I think that honda is trying to appeall to the born again biker from the 70s/80s. The good news --brakes are excellent, motor very laid back and certainly made me grin. It just looked as if someone run out of ideas when it was designed, it is basic looking but maybe thats the appeal.

Hi Guys
I had a set from silvers--the finish on them is brilliant, really pleased with them. I have some friends in the states who have also had them, again very pleased. Its interesting the different stories behind them, if you listen to everyone, you could write a book a foot thick The common story in the states is they are made by the original manufacturer but were not allowed to be stamped as such, good old honda getting a " bag on" there is a similiar story about the new cbx system, I personally dont care, they make my bikes including the cbx look good, infact I am about to get another set. The price is right-for lets face it, a product that was never excellently made, they rotted out to quick.
