Project Board / Re: Honda ss50 clutch
« on: January 29, 2018, 07:34:11 PM »
Hi just tried the clutch arm .i can’t move it more than 5 or 6mm by hand , although it seems to pull up ok by the clutch lever . Also it’s a right handed thread on the adjuster.

Hi I tried the clutch arm on the side cover , but it’s almost too stiff to move by hand . It moves about 6mm . It moves ok when using the clutch lever tho.

The Haynes manual doesn’t say how to adjust so I adjusted the way I’ve always done other clutches . Eg wind in until meets resistance then back off 1/4 turn . Not sure that is the right way .

Hi yeah there’s feel at clutch lever . When I adjust the adjuster it meets resistance and I back off 1/4 turn . When I pull lever in the drive is maintained to real wheel it doesn’t make any difference. As far as I know I didn’t see it fall out .

Hi just restored my Honda SS50. Rebuilt the clutch ( it’s the single plate type) with new plates . Cleaned and inspected it and put back together , with all the parts.
However it won’t engage , no matter how I adjust it . Advice ?

Hi def not the earths . I ran individual cables back to the battery - .pole.
However the taillight is now working , even tho the stubborn headlight still won't have none of it .
I didn't realise bike had to be running for lights , even tho it's not made any difference .
Check the charging voltage at battery with engine running ..... approx 6.57 volts .

Hi , I'm only getting 4.5v at my indicators and nothing at my headlight . It's got a brand new battery and the horn works fine . Running out of ideas ?
