I picked this cap up a while back ...I was sure it was early honda as I have seen many pics of minions at the honda race pits wearing them..
-
Then I picked this book up today..it is a real treasure with some fantastic pictures of early models and the honda factory...
And they're all wearing the hats..
-
I'll post some of the pics for you

They are great pictures Jason.....nice to see.
Shame I cannot scan them and get better ones copied
-
Just noticed even the cartoon men are wearing the caps
-
Love it thanks Jason
-
Great stuff Jason ... heard stories of people finding white gloves in Honda packing crates...and you see the guys on the production lines wearing them ... my mate in Japan quite often 'wraps' my stuff in them when he ships the parts he gets for me so they must still be widely used in Japan.

What a great find, fantastic pictures, a real time warp. Thanks for posting.
-
Great find.
Now you have to wear that cap all day long.
-
Great pics...all the machine shop guys wearing clean white overalls, the Japanese were leagues ahead of us in those days.. and probably still are in most industries ::)
-
Nice find Jason. It's cool getting a little piece of history like the cap in your hands that appears in historical photos.

Honda in Gent is a little different today but, has been in Belgium since 1963 and started assembling mopeds >>> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJaTpOFKf-Q
