Discovered yesterday that after the initial superb results with the 350F that I now have a 3.5 cylinder bike.
When I put the coils on (originals) I noticed that one HT lead was turning in the coil and was quite loose. But decided to go along with them anyway.
Not sure at this point if its on the bad running cylinder (Christmas duties prevent vital garage time, Bah Humbug) but from memory I think it may be.
Anyone else had this problem.
Cheers and Happy Christmas.

He pulled the sale on this in the last hours, only 1 bid on it at £1500. A daft time of year to try to sell a bike, Christmas and heavy storms don't add up to biking Nirvana.

Good info Ash. I commented on my 350F exhaust's when I had to cut them down that they weren't copper plated first. I said at the time that I would probably have to get them redone at some point. I guess from your info that they are correct. Good news, I think?

Hi John. Nice to see you back on the forum again. Don't know if its any relevance to what your doing, but I am looking at fitting early CB600 front and rear to an F2. Have got the bits, and it looks from the tape like a reasonably easy swap. Trying to keep it all Honda. Do you remember me coming up and buying the F2 frame from you summer before last. Have a look at what KNE599V looks like now. http://www.sohc.co.uk/index.php/topic,8188.msg53822.html#msg53822Cheers Roy.

And a special 'thank you' to all the people that helped this build along the way, be it services, parts, or simply help and advice.
Thanks for viewing, and I hope you all have a very Happy Christmas and Santa brings you all the SOHC parts your hearts desire.

The bike is finished. Nothing more to say, so just some winter wet day pictures.

Yeah I looked at those, they sell on eBay as well. Top quality but still doesn't address the frame triangulation issue. Remember they are a motor sports company and this is not really intended for road use.

If he's good enough for James he's good enough for me. Will email him later.

I think that statement should be applied to all old carbs shouldn't it. He's probably just making the point that Ethanol does actually eat these carbs alive, and your tanks and fuel lines etc.
Don't think that would reflect on the standard of his work which looks top drawer.
Am going to email him later and see if he does refurbishments of a customers own carbs, and prices.
Would be good to find somebody reliable at a cheap price. I hate doing the things myself, worst part of any rebuild for me.

Wow indeed. If its genuine, he's probably right about it being the lowest mileage unrestored bike ever. Mine is a 1972 model and its way lower frame number than that one. It will probably be a 74 F1 model. Its been recommissioned with a fair few new parts on it so I assume its been run and the oil seals checked. At 10K its also the dearest 350F I've ever seen.

Hi Roy........if you can, please get one for the CB750 motor as well........
That's the one I'm really after Alan. Gave up on doing mine as I couldn't find the parts and its not really bad enough to be worth doing now. Will do yours whilst the engine is apart if Trigger can come through. Cheers Roy.
