Evening all, working on the 400 tonight getting it ready for the road and knowing I had to set the timing etc I set about it.
I’m having a real faff getting the test light to come on anytime before the T mark on rear plate, it simply won’t advance anymore. Any ideas? Valves, done, cam chain, done. Points, done, just can’t get it timed. Any thoughts on my stupidity?

Could anyone tell me the DEFINITE place for this clutch cable guide, I just can’t remember and after trying to put it in various places, apart from the fact it fouls the tank I can’t for the life of me remember where it went and how. Sadly don’t have any shots in the camera from disassembly to give me a prompt….. Any shots gratefully received Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hi all, anyone got any spare, slightly knackered front mudguards? Just the guard not the stay,?
The one I’ve just started working appears to be badly holed under a raft of crap repairs.
Not a biggie, just don’t want to order a new one to then cut it up. I only need about 9” from the front of the brace and about 9” back. It’ll get nannied and prepped for paint so not bothered if it’s a bit dinged and beaten up, if it’s summut near, yes please.

We’ve had holes in-the road by our front door for ages and finally they came today to fill them. Whoop whoop and indeed whoop. No more clunky suspension noises from cars banging over/into them. They turned up dropping various rock hard piles of cold lay tarmac in and kept going. I thought, ok they’re going to the top of the hill, bout 150 yards, turn round and whacker plate the piles with the one in the back of their transit pick up and sweep up on their way down. They took a while and thought they must be doing a bit of car park at the top. Weeeell.. they’d been a while as they’d reversed into my pals motor, taken the bumper off it and folded in the bonnet, driven down the hill at 3mph trying to run over all the piles to bed them down before buggering off! Whhhaaaaat! This what we’re left with…………. I’ve rung them.! Firstly knackering my pals Audi, sayin nowt and driving off is bonkers but to leave anything like that is simply incredible. All on 4 different houses door cameras showing the van and the op pi’s and the reg plate.. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Evening peeps, As most of you know the bike's in bits again and whilst the lids off I thought it might be a good wheeze to get the cam reprofiled to allow a bit more duration both in and out to improve what midrange there is and basically be a faster bike than Phil's just so I have the mental edge, yer know Anyway, has anybody had this done and if so where at and at what bonkers cost was it? AND, was it any good post op? I've sent a message to Newman's but whilst chatting to a few on here a discussion was mentioned with reccomendations and I can remember the thread but cant find it Any avice chap's and chapess's'sss?

Hi all, does anyone know where I can get this stuff from? It’s the sort of stuff they cut holes in for tools in roller cabs, yer know. I can only find it at really expensive money and wondered if an if you lot knew of any going or know of a good outlet for it. I’m after some for packing up the battery in the cradle. on the build and as it’s a lithium one it’s quite small. Also, would anybody have a spare rubber boot thingy for going over connectors in the loom? I’ve not seen them for sale and saved the two I thought I had from old looms for this build. Sadly I’ve been visited by the little furry garage helpers who decided that it was far better to chew up than for me to stick in the new loom leaving me short of one for the front of the bike. It’s one of the bigger ones…. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Found them in a box of gubbins brought into work by a chap knowing I like Honda’s and associated expensive rust traps. Anybody know what these are off? They’re straight and I’m not bad Nick to be fair and no dents. Bit of rust mind but I’m sure it’s retrievable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
