Post by: rosco on May 17, 2020, 07:35:55 PM
If anybody requires any, i mean any sort of welding  even fuel tanks  PM me and i will pass on details of my mate who has his own engineers shop set up in his garage, welding , turning ,bending ,rolling  making  He will have a go at anything and he is very very good  If he cant do it, he won't attempt it  He has done loads for me and other members  Don't waste money buying new Repair and keep it original   Sorry this sounds like an advert But I'm only trying to help members Thanks Ross

+1 for Russell.  He has done a couple of welding jobs for me and produced good work. What’s more he is a friendly, knowledgable and honest bloke and when he gives you a price he sticks to it. 👍

Hi Mtrhead

Yes I’m pretty sure he can do ally welding.
I remember him mentioning he was repairing an engine casing for someone when I picked up my BIL’s petrol tank.

Thanks for the replies!

I'm near High Wycombe in Bucks, after working at a glacial pace (years!)  I've got the head and barrels off the CB550F2 and though I can't see anything too worrying (other than the stuck piston/rings needing replacement) I'm probably going to split the cases, check the bottom end and get the motor mounting lug (that I stupidly broke trying to get the engine out the frame on my own!) welded.

T and L are very good folk. Used them a few times for various bits. Old school engineers. Definately worth a call (01234 352418)
