2 years is a guess, but i would not be surprised.  Mozambique announced a few days ago that they would take min 5 years to vaccinate the population.

Lat month SA received a million doses of the Astra  vaccine  but cancelled using it due to not being that effective against the SA variant. i think we now have a few doses of the J and J vaccine, ( i think only 200K). the president received his vaccination today.

We will see.

I would like to get the vaccine, but down here that is not going to happen any time soon......couple of years maybe, if we are lucky!!
Can't even get over to the UK unless i pay GBP 1750.00 to be imprisoned in a Hotel for 10 days.

Bummed.

You can re-use the old ones, but i normally replace them.

The oem washers are not copper but copper plated steel. i have also re copper plated old washers before.

The lock tabs are from the CB350 Four. used with plain nuts.

The CB400F did not use the tabs, they only had the Flanged nuts.

Hi Guys, many thanks for the info and link etc.

Yes have been checking out the crazy prices over there, even worse for me with SA Rand..!

Wanted to try to save a bit and not have to buy another bike just for a few weeks trip and then sell it on return, as i have a perfect CB400F in the UK kitted out for travel. it's already done South Africa, USA, Canada, Europe, Ireland UK etc.

Have paid a deposit for the ferry, so we are going around end of August next year. will take some pics.

I make these bushes all the time for that gear, but i match the new bush to the gear and shaft. I use Bronze.

Best is to take the gear and shaft to a local machine shop, they will turn one up in no time.

You should have left the holes as they are the correct size to tap to M5.

With the M6, you may have to machine the heads thinner, as they might foul.

Update on the clutch damper rubbers.

Yes i am always busy:) Plus it has not been at the top of my list.

I have tested many different materials and most have not held up. (tested by heating up engine oil). i have also bought cush rubber kits on the market for modern off road bikes etc and some of them also did not hold up to testing. the best material so far has been Viton.

Unfortunately being down here in Darkest Africa  no one suppliers this in the correct thickness, i just had a quote last month for the min qty of 1 sq metre at a cost of around GBP2500-3000 with import duties etc. so definitely won't be making any $'s from this.

As I am now getting a few emails for these kits. i have managed to find some Viton in smaller qty's. (but still have to import it). plus i also need some for my own bikes. when the material gets here i will do a few kits.

Couple of years ago i made some using Ertacetal, much harder with no give, so does not really act as a damper, but worked fine. (not tested for big mileage) would not be happy supplying these to paying customers. if anybody would like a set free of charge to try, (just cover postage) let me know and i'll put some in production for next month.

Yes i still do many parts for racers and road 400's. plus a few new parts that are not yet on my website.

D8EA. Std.

As a rule, Run the coldest plugs possible, without fouling.

For fast track full throttle running i use D9EA or even D10EA's
