For a 75 400F it's 365mm. measured between centre of mounting holes.

On the 400F there are markings on the rear of the crankcase, however I have never had luck with these codes. I mic the casings and the crank journals and choose the colour of the shells from the book.

470, Yes no problem to do this to check the gearbox, if you want to remove the crank you will have to remove the cam and conrod caps.

Would like to have seen that, was it a genuine CR part?

Here is a pic of my replica CR Hub from Italy, also magnesium. very nice quality.

Hi.

The 54mm and the 54.5mm pistons are OK with the stock sleeves. 54mm =458cc. 54.5mm=466cc.
Some info for you.
Stock sleeve:
Upper OD= 59mm
Lower OD=57mm
Upper wall with 54mm pistons=2.5mm, lower=1.5mm
Upper wall with 54.5mm pistons=2.25mm, lower=1.25mm

The 54.5mm is the largest I would go with stock sleeves.

Any more info on where to get those 54mm pistons you have?

Thanks for the welcome guys.
Steve I'll start something in the 400F section, just busy sorting out all my pics. PC crashed last year and I lost some pics and info.

Simon, The exhausts are still sitting in Middlesex, waiting for the alloy rims to be delivered, so we can ship all at the same time.

I thought it was about time I registered on the UK site. Been on the US for quite a while.

Hi to all, I am a brit living in South Africa. I do not envy you in the Uk with the weather right now.

I'm a bit addicted to the little CB400F.......they seem to multiply in my garage when I'm not looking. Also busy with a CR750 replica build at the moment. Or rather a CB750 racing type Daytona Dick mann replica.

Cheers kevin
