Anyone going besides me?
Keep an eye out for the CR750 in the race paddock and come and say hello.

Eric

I hope to be there tomorrow, albeit riding the BMW and not a classic Honda.

A great day out with some interesting machines like this Bimota
More pics to follow when I've resized them.

I'd like to have visited too,  so maybe next year I'll make it.

Very nice bike Eric,  I've seen your video of startup (I think) but would love to see it running though,  beautiful work to build it.

That Bimota is particularly nice too,  very reminiscent of an Imola 200 MV Agusta in appearance.  With just a touch of Jarno Sarinen era 500 Yamaha seat tail to it.

That's a very rare Bimota, I think only 7 were actually made?

Especially with that exhaust - not an expert but think that is the original exhaust

A few more pics
A CR750 once owned by Bill Smith, unfortunately it didn't take to the track due to a lack of sparks.
Of technical interest a velocipede with two Ariel engines mounted side by side.
RC174 replica built by George Beale

Looks fantastic Eric!
just tried to go to my local bike meet on mine but got 100 yards before realizing I had a puncture (could have been worse, it could have been a few miles away)
Any video's of CR on track?

I think you are correct Phil...well, I know you are actually 😊. It really is fantastic, I don't think it would suit a standard road bike CB Honda but on a race bike it just looks perfect.

I've got a video of the CR750 on track, but its a big file (27mb) in MP4 format. How do I upload it to the forum?

Eric

Great couple of videos Rob👍. The Manx Norton sounded glorious. I'll have to make more of an effort to go next year as it's such a great event.

I agree, It is a great event.. even if you don't go on track, there's plenty to see in the paddock and around the campsite. There was a classic trial going on all day Sat and Sun too.. In the evening there is a nice café, burger bars and a big beer tent with guest speakers and a couple of bands... Its a petrol-heads paradise :-)… We had a ride round the track on our classic Raleigh choppers too, they got plenty of attention. All in all a great weekend!
