Hi all - I have just dismantled the clocks on my k5 and fitted some nice new faces ;D
Close inspection revealed that the reset knob is missing, its the one that protrudes from the bottom of the clock not the side!
I have searched but cannot find an acceptable fix, does anyone have an idea for a replacement or better still have one in their parts drawer ???
Thanks in advance
Phil

Hi Phil,
I have been searching for years for my K4, if you do have any luck with a similar part please let me know. I have tried the clock restorers, but the knob has a certain shape particular to the K3,4,5.
The complete clocks do come up on ebay in the states.

Thanks for that Alan
Having not seen one its difficult to comment on the shape, but probably goes a long way to explain why the trip has 950 miles on it!
Will keep an eye open at auto jumbles and if I can resolve the problem I'll let you know

I'm assuming that this trip knob is on the back of instrument and is secured to the shaft with a tiny cross head screw. Very difficult to remove the tiny screw and easily broken. Faced with a missing knob and the remains of the broken screw in the trip shaft I used a small radio knob. That had a screw in the side of the knob to secure it on the shaft so that resolved the broken screw in the shaft problem. Not sure were I found the knob now. O.K. it wasn't original but it worked, well it's better to have a non-original knob that no knob at all! I know Radio Spares stock a range of knobs so that might be one place to look.

Old topic, but probably valuable.
Trip meter knob is available here:

I don't suppose you have one for a 1979 CB900FZ do you?

If it has a 3mm shaft, it could fit

I'll have to check...
