Title: Aftermarket exhaust
Post by: 7Galo on September 02, 2005, 08:01:28 AM
Hey all! Glad to have stumbled across this site. Thanks to Carpy and his awesome site! I have a 1977 CB750K I'm looking for an aftermarket exhaust for. I've seen Kerker, Jardine, Vance & Hines, and Mac on eBay as well as NOS Honda stuff. I want a 4 into 1 and was looking for some input. Reasons for and against. Anyone have any input/ ideas?

Depends what your after: look, performance, noise or keeping it stock. I have an '76 F with a Motad 4-1, nice balance sounds sweet and 4-1 stays in line with the original.

You can buy direct from them in the UK http://www.motad.co.uk

Anyone tried drilling holes in the baffle to get  a better noise?

i am running a tranzac system made here in OZ, 4-1, with really nice sounding mffler, the headers are bigbore, meaning that just after the spigot, they enlarge another 1/4 of an inch.
the hole system is chromed steel, and costs $500 AUD the lot... the place in oz i  bought it was call 'show and go'.

peace
