Title: Surely this isn’t legal
Post by: SteveW on August 31, 2022, 10:18:53 AM
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/363961200517?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=NSqHq3asQJ-&sssrc=2349624&ssuid=DvCJAq6nRv6&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

What use is this except to pass off one bike as another?

I believe that unless you can prove "criminal intent" then it's no different to selling write off vehicles with unmarked V5C - that is still a big market, no mention of the separate Chassis plate either.
Can't see the headstock getting past a DVLA inspection though! lol

Perfect to use on a stolen bike  in the future if the bid shown is genuine..

Now I've seen everything, mind boggling what is going on out there.

Cheers

The less contentious way might have been to sell the horn, and not mention the headstock 😂

Mmmm and what about the people on E Bay advertising bike and car parts from Lithuania !

Does E Bay even ask - or check where these parts came from ?

Or how about the Containers filled with 'scrap metal' being exported to Nigeria with a stolen £100,000 Mercedes/Audi/BMW etc hidden underneath the top layer of scrap metal ! Why would anyone export 'scrap metal' from the UK to Nigeria ?

Doesn't anyone in authority ask the 'right questions' any more ?

the only 'legit' reason I can think of for buying that would be to make a custom frame for a project.

The sort of custom build that needs a V5 to get around having to Q plate.
