Title: 1970 Honda CB450 DOHC
Post by: Kelly E on June 03, 2021, 06:52:33 PM
We recently got a 1970 CB450 DOHC that is complete but rough. We are going to do all of the mechanical stuff and paint the frame. We aren't really set up to do paint on the bodywork so we will let the new owner take care of that. We just finished disassembly and it already has a new owner.

Tired but it all looks very original, good luck!

That's a model I've never heard of before (I've led a sheltered life) a dohc 450 sounds brilliant.

I thought I would update where we are on the CB450 DOHC. The bike is back together except for the forks, waiting on the correct seals. I'm looking forward to riding it before we turn it over to the new owner. 8)

Looking good.

Just wondering do these  old SOHC Honda's fetch good money in the States. As we import so many container loads, you seem to have a glut of them out there and assume reflected in sale values??

We're getting 4k for this one, it was sold before we finished taking it apart. We've done well with every old Honda that we've done. None of them has taken more than a couple of hours to sell. If we figured out the hours we don't make a bunch of money per hour but it is kind of a hobby and we're having a good time. 8)

A good hobby I think all here will agree!! Most of us will ultimately loose money on ours (if we ever dare check)
