Title: DHL
Post by: Johnny4428 on October 08, 2021, 11:40:39 AM
Expecting a CMS delivery soon (they say today) or rather DHL say today but they are still asking for £43.07 settlement for vat etc. Now I paid this three days ago by a direct bank transfer, despite taking a screen shot of the transaction I have received and sending to their customer service dept,I have received a further three emails asking for payment! Now I am getting a bit worried that I have been scammed! But the payment I made had the correct waybill number for reference and correct description of parts and vendor. See what happens today. Anybody else hade any problems with DHL?

I had a similar thing with UPS,

But in the end it was ok,

As the delivery driver had the payment logged on his scanner

Slightly different theme but connected - when I tried to order a small part from CMSL a couple of weeks ago (as I had done last year) it would not allow me to make place an order unless it was over £200 - they cited VAT / custom rules as the reason. I bought elsewhere.

Yes, same carry on with DHL, but the stuff arrived. The delivery and payment teams appear to be terribly out of sync. I’ve had stuff arrive before it has been recorded as dispatched. Hopeless.

I've had that happen but the courier still leaves the parcels. I think its one of those computers not talking to the other computer 😁😁😁😁

Hate to break this to you Julie but computers do not talk - they use machine code to communicate - who has to put in the right machine code - humans - so do not blame innocent computers or they will become depressed. ;D ;D ;D

Another email from DHL which read - unfortunately we cannot check to see if payment has been made we can only request payment. And goes on to say you will have to contact the Vat and Customs dept to check on payment.
I don’t think I will be bothering, they can sort it out!  The thing is I made a direct payment to DHL not to vat and customs. So despite the fact I made a direct payment to DHL they are telling me they cannot check on payment. Somebody in DHL surely will have access to payments!!

To be fair, I guess they deliver hundreds of thousands of parcels per day and error are inevitable. Why not just send them evidence of payment and cross your fingers. Or do you think there is a scam at hand?

Cant believe there is worse! I have sent three different people within DHL a screen shot of bank transaction.

Have you tried this number John?
02476 937 770
I've only had one issue with DHL that was resolved quickly by a phone call.

This is so frustrating for you as you have paid the courier - depending what payment method you used there might be  a transaction ID that you can quote - that might help.

Thanks everybody for assistance I recieved a message from MCTID with an email address higher up the ladder within dhl, they confirmed it had been resolved and payment confirmed and the parcel will be released immediately, this was at 14.30. At 17.15 I recieved an email from dvsupport@dhl.com sorry for the delay in resolving my issue and they are looking into it. I’m not even going to reply. They have wasted enough of my time.
