I was bored today,. this Covid thing has given me a bit of spare time, so I set about google-ing myself and I ended up here.

Wow, this has changed a lot, I remember when I first set the original site up way back before the millennium and then I got distracted and SteveD took it over, I'm impressed.

I don't have an SOHC anymore but still massively into bike, but just thought I'd pop by and see how you all are.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi dazm,

I have a shed load is spares, literally. I started this forum many moons ago and due to other commitment interest waned and Steve picked it up. Every now and then come back to see how it is going, and I have to say I'm impressed.

If you're interested PM me, and I'll let you know what I have but it's along the lines of a complete F1 and 3/4 of an F2 as I used it to for a dual disc conversion for the F1. I do need to clear my shed out so any reasonably offers will be considered.

From the Hosting company

Some customers on our shared hosting platform may currently be experiencing intermittent access to the Online Control Panel, Webmail and some websites with an error message of Service unavailable.

Our System Administrators are investigating this issue as a priority and we will post further updates here as and when they become available.

UPDATE: 10:45am.  Following investigation by the system administrators, this issue has now been fully resolved.

Hi All,

I've been keeping an eye on the server that my database sits on, and I think it's over subscribed, there is a limit in mysql for the amount on concurrent connections, espcially at weekends and I think we keep hitting it. You have to remember that we share the server with many other websites.

I have the option to move the database to another but as you can imagine this is going to mean more distruptions.

Cheers

John

Sorry to everyone,

As you may have noticed the site went down for a couple of days, this was due to a bit of a cock up on my part and forgot to update my payment details with my hosting company, and then managed to get my card cloned and stopped. So after missing a couple of payments my provider stopped the site.

Anyway all sorted now, "Carry On Regardless" ;D

The only people to make real money out of oil products are the Government and the speculators, I worked for Shell for 40 years and the margin on petrol is tiny, compared with the governments "slice".

Cheers

Den

I wasn't blasting at Shell in particular, in fact Shell in my area is only the dearest because they round to the nearest penny, Morrisons will be 113.9

« on: March 07, 2010, 08:44:16 AM »
I used flowliner on my F1 tank and it was quite bad with a leak in the side, Flowliner is an epoxy kit that coats the inside of the tank and traps any loose crap and fills hole when it hardens.

One tip, you will need to block the fuel outlet, don't  do what i did and just blank it off or you will be drilling out the hole.

But on the whole a good product.

You got to love'em, my good lady caught me unloading a crank case from the dishwasher once and forgave me when I went to buy a break disk and came home with the whole bike, I say forgave it did cost an equal amount of cash the next time she saw something she liked.
