Title: 1977 CB550f parts questions
Post by: vraksianrebel on January 15, 2019, 03:15:13 PM
i haven't actually received my bike yet but i know it is missing a few parts.
the foot pegs and the Tacho.
are the pegs from all 550s the same? i dont want to get the wrong thing if there is something specific for the F

the speedo looks like it has a blue fascia. is that an odd colour or just poor ebay photos? all the tachos i see online are either black or a greeny colour.

Go to cmsnl and compare part numbers to see if the footrests are the same as another model.
Clocks would be green or dark blue from memory depending on year and exact model.

Parts supplier that shows a microfiche off all parts fitted to all Honda, and other, models. Just make sure you choose the correct model for your bike and then compare other models to see if parts are the same.

mine is the 13th frame number of the 77 F2 apparently, but that's allowed me to discover that the F all have the same front pegs but the K has different ones.

the footrests on the f models are different to the k models as the r/h one has to fold due to the 4/1 exhaust to allow the kickstarter to be used. I think i may have a pair if you need them.

Vraksianrebel, the way to identify what model CB550F you have, is to compare your engine- and framenumber with those listed in the first few pages of every CB550F parts list. Forsaid pages also contain information on paint and area codes. They're all here: http://www.honda4fun.com/materiale-documentazione-tecnica/parts-list/parts-list-cb550

mickwinf, yeah i definitely need the right one, the left is apparently still there.

julie my frame number is 2100013 so i am assuming its the 13th if its like how they used to label old triumph cars anyway lol

Thanks Deltarider i had seen those codes before and my frame and engine numbers are correct for a 77 US Cb550f f2
